In partnership with the Council of Valdoviño, we can enjoy the coast of Meirás, full of geological treasures, such as the rising dunes next to the Punta Frouxeira lighthouse, or the deposits of subvolcanic rocks in the Porto area, where it is also possible to observe vestiges of the intense mining activity that took place place in this area in Valdoviño at the beginning of the 20th century. An arsenic-rich ore called arsenopyrite was mined in these mines, sometimes even containing significant amounts of gold and silver.
The route has a low difficulty, but it is advisable to wear comfortable shoes.
