In partnership with the Council of Moeche, in this guided tour you will see first-hand the most exclusive ornamental materials that we have in Galicia, the serpentine or “toelo” (Moeche´s stone). These rocks, with a beautiful green color, were exploited since the 19th century in numerous quarries in Moeche. You will visit the quarries and see some examples of the final products, crosses, lintels, “hórreos” -Galician traditional granaries-, stairs, etc.
This route has a low difficulty, but it is advisable to wear comfortable shoes. The journey between the different stops will be made in private cars. At the end, there will be a guided tour of the Castle facilities with a duration of 30 min.
